At one time if you wanted to own a scooter, then you had two choices. You could either purchase one of the kick scooters or none at all. Fortunately, there have been many changes and improvements since then, allowing more choices in both gas and electric scooters.

There are some heavier and larger gas powered scooters that are perfect for longer trips and the smaller and lighter models are great for running around town and doing errands. A gas scooter is generally faster than the electric models and can maintain a good speed for a longer period of time. A larger and heavier scooter has a larger gas tank as well so that you can travel further before having to stop and get gas.

While there are many things that can be done in order to conserve fuel and save money, such as car pooling, it is not always enough. That is one reason why the moped and scooter sales have been going through the roof and it does not show any signs of slowing down, until gas prices drop; however, that does not seem to be happening any time soon. So, of course, the gas powered scooter is likely to be around for quite some time.

Of course, some people still think that scooters are just for kids, but that could not be farther from the truth. While they are extremely cost effective they can still be a lot of fun.

Some families have gotten more than one gas scooter so that they can take family excursions together without having to spend a great deal of money. It is more compact and as such you will have no problem when trying to park. Overall, motor scooters are an exceptional solution for most lifestyles.
